CHATTANOOGA, TN (WRCB)-- Former University of Tennessee at Chattanooga running back Keon Williams is one of four graduating Mocs with a legitimate chance of being selected in the NFL's upcoming draft, but one team has already reached out to Williams in case his name doesn't get called next weekend.
The Indianapolis Colts' General manager Ryan Grigsby recently sent Williams, a Red Bank native, a congratulatory letter on his stellar college career in Chattanooga.
But Grigsby also emphasized his team's interest in signing Williams to a free agency contract if he indeed goes undrafted.
Williams, along with tight end Faysal Shafaat, defensive linemen Derrick Lott and Davis Tull are all considered potential draft choices from the Mocs Southern Conference Championship team last season.
The NFL draft gets under way Thursday night from Chicago.
