UPDATE: The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has made an arrest in the early morning fatal shooting of Raymond Aaron Lawhorn.
Fifty-eight-year old Phillip Clements was arrested Thursday, and charged with one count of Criminal Homicide. Clements is being held in the Marion County Jail without bond..
The TBI says that Clements fatally shot Lawhorn in a home on Jones Point Road early Thursday morning. PREVIOUS STORY: Sheriff Bo Burnett tells Channel 3 the TBI will discuss the case with the 12th District Attorney General later today and decide how to proceed and if they'll press any charges.
The homeowner remains at the jail for questioning but the female who was also at the home has been released after questioning. The TBI says the investigation is active and ongoing and that no one has been arrested or charged in connection with the man's death.
The man was found dead inside the home with a gunshot wound to the head, according to TBI Spokesperson Josh DeVine.
His body and Jeep were both removed from the scene by 6am EST.
The body has been sent to Nashville for an autopsy.
The names of those involved have not yet been released.
PREVIOUS STORY: An altercation early Thursday morning at a Marion County home has left one person dead.
Channel 3 has learned that the homeowner called the Marion County Sheriff's Office to report a home invasion about 1:30am.
The person left the home, but returned a second time and was shot by the homeowner.
There were two people in the home at the time.
One person is dead, as the TBI and police begin their investigation Thursday morning.
The body will be taken to the TBI crime lab in Nashville for an autopsy.
