Good Wednesday. What a great start we have today. Clear skies and cool weather will greet you this morning. This afternoon, ahead of a cold front, we will get a little breezy with winds from the southwest at 10-15 mph. This will allow us to warm up to 75 degrees. We will also see clouds building late today with some passing showers and thunderstorms possible heading into the evening hours. Overall rainfall amounts will be light and we are not expecting any severe weather. With that said, any thunderstorms that pop up could produce some brief heavy rain, so they will bear watching.
Skies will clear out behind the front tonight with the low dipping to 48. It will be quite a bit cooler Thursday afternoon with the high only getting to about 66. We will be a little warmer Friday as the high reaches about 70. I do not expect rain either Thursday or Friday.
Saturday is a different story. Another system will move through and bring heavy rain to the area Saturday morning through Saturday afternoon. Rainfall amounts could range from 1" to 1.5". The rain will end Saturday night, and Sunday will be dry with a high of 74.
We can expect more heavy rain Monday night into Tuesday morning. The possibility of flooding will rear it's head once again, if not Saturday, then probably starting off next week. It has already been an extremely wet April with 8.48" already in the gauge. The average this far into the month is 2.80".
