Good Thursday. We have had some torrential rain moving through the area today. there is a FLASH FLOOD WARNING for northwest Georgia where 2" of rain has already fallen, and another 1" may fall before all is said and done. Through the afternoon, the heavy rain and storms will taper off to just an occasional pop up shower. Drier weather will settle in Friday and Saturday before another round of heavy rain pushes through Sunday and Monday.
Friday will start with mostly cloudy skies and a low of 57. The afternoon will warm to 74, and the rain chance is slight through the day.
Saturday now look to be warm and dry. The system that was to bring rain Saturday is now slowing up a bit and will keep the rain at bay until Sunday. Saturday will be nice overall. The Chickamauga Chase will start early in the morning with temps in the mid to upper 50s as the road race gets underway. Saturday afternoon will climb to near 80 under mostly cloudy skies.
The rain will start late Saturday night. We will see fairly continuous showers and non severe thunderstorms through the day Sunday. The high will reach 72. The rain continues into the first part of Monday. From Saturday night through Monday we could easily see about 2-4" of rain.
