Suspect competent to stand trial for murder

Posted: Updated:
CHATTANOOGA, TN (WRCB) - The woman accused in Chattanooga's first murder of 2014 was deemed competent to go to trial.
Monica Delk's attorney says it was self defense, when she allegedly stabbed 27-year old Charles Edward Brown, the fourth.
Police say an argument between the two at College Hill Courts in January 2014 led to the stabbing death.
She's charged with criminal homicide.

Her trial is set for June 23rd.
