The FBI is asking for the public's help in finding a man who may have information about the identity and location of a young girl shown in photos being sexually abused. The abuse may be ongoing.

The man, whom the FBI has dubbed as John Doe 29,
is not being accused of abusing the girl.

Investigators are hoping to interview him about the location of the victim, with the goal being the rescue of the child.

John Doe 29 is described as a male with a tan complexion, between the ages of 30 and 45, with dark hair.

Anyone with information to provide should submit a tip online at
or call the FBI's toll-free tip line at 1-800-CALL-FBI.

Details in the photos that may help identify the man are:

  • The silver ring he wore on his left middle finger
  • The background where the images were taken
  • The victim's blue and white Velcro Nike tennis shoe
John Doe 29 also wore a white, black, and red shirt, with writing and/or a design, on the sleeves, shown in the photos.

The FBI says there are no details linking the subject to a particular state. The whereabouts of John Doe 29 are unknown, necessitating the national media campaign.
