Bradley Central HS self-imposes sanctions on football program due to recruiting infractions

Posted: Updated:
BRADLEY COUNTY, TN (WRCB) - Athletic officials at Bradley Central High School are self-imposing sanctions on their football program after recruiting allegations are determined to be true.

TSSAA, Tennessee's high school sports governing body, found that Bear head football coach Damon Floyd violated the group's by-laws on recruiting.

Floyd will be suspended for two weeks later this summer.   He will also serve a 2-game suspension from coaching next season.

The Bear football program will be put on a two year probation. In addition to a 1 thousand dollar fine, spring and fall scrimmages and practices will be reduced.

Our request for comment from Bradley Central's Athletic Department went unanswered.
