Rainy, stormy Friday followed by a nice weekend

Posted: Updated:
Good Friday! A rainy end to the work week is followed by a beautiful weekend.

Showers and storms are moving into the Tennessee Valley and the Channel 3 viewing area this morning. An isolated strong/severe storm can't be ruled out, producing strong winds and/or hail, but widespread severe weather isn't expected. Temperatures remain rather steady most of the day in the lower 70s. Clouds clear out tonight with much cooler lows around 50°.

The weekend looks great! We'll have cool mornings with very mild afternoons. Get the lawn work done before rain comes back next week. Saturday and Sunday bring fair skies with highs in the middle to upper 70s, lows in the upper 40s Saturday night.

Next week looks unsettled. On and off showers are possible Monday through Thursday with a few rumbles of thunder. Highs will be seasonable in the lower 70s with lows mostly in the middle 50s to 60°.
