Senator Corker visits Chattanooga, comments on Iran's nuclear program

Posted: Updated:
CHATTANOOGA, TN (WRCB) - US Senator Bob Corker made a visit to the Tennessee Valley Thursday.
The former Chattanooga mayor spoke at a luncheon hosted by the Rotary Club, part of a nine-county tour across the volunteer state.
Corker's visit comes a week after President Obama announced a framework deal to limit Iran's nuclear program.
The senator says a nuclear-armed Iran would lead to less safe and less secure world, which is why the stakes are so high.

Senator Bob Corker, Chattanooga, "Sometimes the timing isn't exactly right and trying to gauge that right now is something that's important. But it does look like were rushing to get to a deal in June."

he Senate Foreign Relations Committee will vote on the bipartisan legislation next week.
If a nuclear deal is reached, it would require Congressional review.
The deadline for the deal is June 30th.
