Warm, humid today - slim storm chance

Posted: Updated:
CHATTANOOGA, TN (WRCB) - Good Wednesday! Today starts very foggy for many areas of the Tennessee Valley. There's an official DENSE FOG ADVISORY from the National Weather Service for all our Tennessee, Alabama, and North Carolina counties until 10 a.m. EDT. No advisory for north Georgia, but be careful of fog there, too.

Then we have partly cloudy skies this afternoon with an outside chance of a passing storm. Best chances are north of the city. Highs reach the lower 80s. Tonight is partly cloudy and mild with lows in the lower 60s. Thursday brings another slight chance for storms with highs climbing into the middle 80s.

A cold front brings widespread rain and some storms Thursday late-night into Friday with lows in the middle 60s, highs in the middle 70s. An isolated strong/severe storm can't be ruled out.

The weekend looks great! Look for fair skies with cooler lows around 50° and highs in the middle 70s. It'll be less humid, but showers could return by Sunday late afternoon/early evening.
