CHATTANOOGA, TN (WRCB) -
Good Tuesday! Our weather warms up during the next few days, and higher humidity could lead to pop-up storms.
Cloudy skies with areas of of fog, mist, and drizzle continue this morning. We should see a few breaks of sunshine this afternoon, warming highs into the 70s across the Tennessee Valley. Widely scattered showers and storms can't be ruled out, but they'll fade through the evening. Look for partly cloudy skies overnight with mild lows around 60° in the city.
Wednesday and Thursday bring warm and muggy conditions with a chance for spotty "hit or miss" thunderstorms. Highs reach the lower 80s with lows in the lower 60s, making it feel like early summer.
Friday could turn much wetter and more stormy as a cold front moves through the region. Showers and storms become more widespread with highs in the lower to middle 70's. It's too early to say whether any storms might turn severe, but we'll continue to monitor the situation.
The front clears late Friday night, making for a nice weekend overall. Lows cool to around 50° with highs in the lower 70s and less humidity. Showers could return, but not until late Sunday.
