Undercover drug sweep ends with 12 arrests

CHATTANOOGA, TN (WRCB) -

Chattanooga police arrested 12 people Wednesday in a drug-buying sweep using undercover officers. Some of the charges ended up being non-drug related.

The effort, assisted by the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, were executed to reduce “street-level” drug activity around the city.

“Street level crimes like drug dealing pose a threat to the quality of life of our community members,” said CPD Lieutenant Tammy Cook. “Many times these street level drug deals can lead to robberies, aggravated assaults and/or shootings.”

The sweep was centered in Sector 2, which is the east Chattanooga area.

Arrested were: 

  • Elizabeth Glenn, Possession of Marijuana
  • Orlandis Stamper, Selling Crack Cocaine
  • Jerry Moore, Selling Crack Cocaine
  • Quinton Adams, Selling Crack Cocaine
  • David Patton, Gambling
  • Jewone Colvin, Gambling
  • Robert Montgomery, Gambling
  • Jeffery Choice, Gambling
  • Antonio Chubbs, Gambling
  • Charles Moore, Gambling
  • Winston Vinson, Gambling
  • Rawshard Smith, Selling Marijuana
