Employers to seek to fill jobs at northeast Georgia job fair

Posted: Updated:

CUMMING, Ga. (AP) - The Georgia Department of Labor expects hundreds of people to turn out for a career fair in Forsyth County.

The agency says about 1,000 jobs will be on offer by about 60 employers at the Northeast Georgia Career Expo on Tuesday.

The expo is meant to provide opportunities for employers and job seekers in a 13-county area.

The Department of Labor says job seekers should bring plenty of resumes, be ready to talk to employers and to dress appropriately.

The expo will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Lanier Technical College's Forsyth Conference Center in Cumming.

The job fair is sponsored by the Department of Labor, Lanier Technical College, and the Cumming-Forsyth County Chamber of Commerce.
