Betty O'Haire has lived quite a life.  She has owned a hotel, and even practiced law.

Now thanks to a program called "Second Wind Dreams" she has fulfilled a joyous wish.

She had long expressed a desire to ride a horse, something she had not done since she was a child. An Alzheimer's wing resident at Elmcroft Senior Living in Chattanooga, she was able to saddle up on Friday.

Jala West and her horse Ransom visited Elmcroft, at the invitation of Betty's friends.

Jala, an employee of Life Care Center of Collegedale, owns a horse riding company called Sunny Daze Horse Parties.

She donated her time and use of her horse to make Betty's dream a reality.

Betty's ride went smoothly, and she was cheered by friends, staff members and volunteers.
