Heritage High students go barefoot - to help others

Posted: Updated:
Heritage High School and other Catoosa County schools have just completed a "Barefoot March" project with several students and educators, who went barefoot for the month of March to raise shoes for three different ministries: The Chattanooga Homeless Ministries, and Orphanage Emmanuel in Honduras and Ethiopia.

Also, Heritage's football team has a leadership group that has adopted a service project for the team under direction of coach E. K. Slaughter.

They have tasked themselves with raising $22,000.00 by to purchase the food and pack a container for the Feed My Starving Children organization.

On April 13, the band is having a benefit concert with proceeds going to FMSC.  For more information on how you can help, go to www.FMSC.org
