Suspect charged in Bradley County burglary and theft

BRADLEY COUNTY, TN (WRCB) - An arrest has been made, and stolen kitchen items recovered, in a burglary case out of Bradley County.

The burglary happened March 22 at a vacant house on Carter Road.  Detectives identified a possible suspect, Billy Joe Ross Williams, age 29, of Ladd Springs Road.

When detectives went the Ladd Springs address and saw a stove, refrigerator, washer and dryer in the back of a utility trailer.  Information showed they were appliances taken from the Carter Road residence. 

Williams was questioned and told officers he knew of the theft. 

The stolen property was valued at $2,300. A sliding glass door was also stolen but was disposed of as scrap.

Williams is charged with burglary and theft over $1,000. He was arrested Thursday and is being held on a $20,000 bond.
