Good Friday! The cold air is moving in. We have a FREEZE WARNING in effect from 2am until 11am Saturday. A FREEZE WATCH is in effect from late Saturday night into Sunday morning.
Let's start with today. Skies will clear through the day with breezy northwest winds keeping our high in the low to mid 50s. This evening more clouds will drift through, and there is even a very slight chance for a sprinkle or two. Late tonight we will se the temperature taking a dive. In Chattanooga we will drop into the low 30s. In the outlying areas and the mountains, however, it will drop to the mid to upper 20s. Many folks will experience a hard freeze in which we will see temps below freezing from 2-5 hours.
Saturday afternoon will be mostly sunny with the high staying in the low 50s. It will be just as cold Sunday morning if not a few degrees colder, but our winds will shift in the afternoon. South winds will help us rebound into the upper 50s.
We will start Monday with more rain in the morning. It will clear out Monday afternoon and the high will get into the mid 60s.
The rest of the week will see a nice warm up with temps getting back into the low 70s with spring showers on and off through the week.
