Good Wednesday. Today will be mostly cloudy with a high of 77. I don't expect much in the way of rain today other than a stray sprinkle or two. Tonight will be overcast as the low drops to 57.
For Thursday, we will start the day with clouds and light rain showers. The high Thursday will still manage to climb into the mid 70s. During the late afternoon and evening hours, a line of heavier rain and even some thunderstorms will develop just east of town. I don't expect any severe weather at this point, but we will keep our eyes open.
Friday, the front will have moved through, and our winds will shift, coming from the north. That will bring in much colder air as we head into the weekend. Friday we start the day with lows in the low 40s. The afternoon will only manage a high of 56.
Saturday will start cold with a low of 32 in Chattanooga. Outlying areas will drop into the mid to upper 20s! The high Saturday will get to about 50, but that's it. Coat and jacket weather all day.
Sunday won't start any better. We will once again be in the upper 20s and low 30s in the morning. By the afternoon, however, we will start to warm back up. The high Sunday will get up to 61. Both days of the weekend will be mostly sunny.
We start next week with highs in the upper 60s and a chance for a few showers.
