McKamey continues effort to "fix" pit bulls
The McKamey Animal Shelter is continuing its effort to "fix" 2-thousand pit bulls.
In 2011, McKamey received a grant enabling the shelter to alter thousands of pit bulls and mixes to stop the influx of unwanted dogs.
The shelter says pit bulls are one of the hardest to place because of misconceptions about the breed.
Through the grant called "Bully Blockade", McKamey has altered over 16-hundred dogs.
The program is available to Chattanooga residents.
