Good Tuesday. It will be hard to resist planting anything in the ground today. We will be spoiled with sunshine and unseasonably warm weather as the high reaches 75 degrees. The average high for today's date is 66. It's important to remember we could still see a frost as late as mid April, so plant at your own risk at this point.
Tonight will be partly cloudy with the low dropping to 56. I expect clouds through the day Thursday. We may get a stray shower or two, but it will mostly just be warm and cloudy. Wednesday's high will get up to 77.
Thursday, a front that will bring severe weather to the central U.S. today and tomorrow will bring us showers and maybe a few thunderstorms. Right now the risk for severe weather does not appear to be there for us, but we will be watchful. We are entering severe weather season, and it has actually been pretty slow around the nation so far with no tornadoes as of yet.
Friday, behind the front, much cooler air will move in. Friday we will be in the upper 50s for highs.
Saturday and Sunday will both sport lows in the low 30s in Chattanooga. In outlying areas we will see temps dropping into the mid to upper 20s. Saturday will be chilly all day with the high only reaching about 50. It will be a little warmer Sunday afternoon as we climb to about 61.
