Good Monday. We start the day with cloudy skies and a few drizzles here and there. This afternoon we will see some sunshine peaking through as the high climbs to about 70. Skies may remain overcast in north Georgia heading into the Blue Ridge.
Tuesday should be pleasant with the low starting the day at 49, and the high climbing to about 72 under partly cloudy skies.
Wednesday will see a few more clouds, but it will still be comfortable. We will start with a low of 53, then climb to 73.
A weak front will press through Thursday bringing rain showers to the area during the late morning and early afternoon. We will still manage a high Thursday of 73.
Behind the front much colder air will begin to filter in for the weekend. Friday, the high will only reach 60 with mostly cloudy skies.
Saturday we will start with lows in the mid to upper 30s. The high Saturday will only get to about 50. Saturday night we could see a flurry or two, though the chance is extremely small. Of bigger concern Saturday night is the potential for freezing temperatures to return to the Tennessee Valley. I am forecasting a low of 33 in Chattanooga, but we could see temps in the upper 20s in outlying areas. Keep in mind, the date of the average last freeze is April 1st, so this would not be unheard of at all.
We will begin our warm up Sunday afternoon with a high of 58. We will even get back into the upper 60s by Monday.
