Woman arrested for drugs; children in home

JACKSON COUNTY, AL -

Combined efforts of the Jackson County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Unit and Stevenson Police Department resulted in the arrest of a woman for drugs and marijuana.

Since several children were in the home, Alabama's Department of Human Resources were brought into the case.

Officers were executing a search warrant at a home in Fackler, AL Wednesday and during the search found marijuana, controlled pills and un-prescribed medication.

Thirty-four-year-old Mary Amanda Johnson, of Stevenson, was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana 1st degree, three counts of unlawful possession of controlled substances (controlled pills) and illegal possession of prescription medication.
