CHATTANOOGA (WRCB) - Soddy Custom Tackle has announced a new program designed to assist local high school fishing teams with their rods, reels, and tackle needs.

Any high school fishing club/team that is recognized by the school's administration and has a designated coach or adult supervisor is eligible to apply for participation in the official Soddy Custom Tackle school program.

Anglers must also be current members of either B.A.S.S. or the SAF. Acceptance into the Soddy Custom Tackle program allows club members to purchase rods and reels, and tackle at a discounted price.

“It is very exciting to see how much high school fishing programs have grown in the last few years,” said company owner Greg Payne. “We are very proud to be part of High School Fishing help promote the sport of fishing.”
