Officials Drop Warrant for Bobbi Kristina Brown Amid Medical Scare

Posted: Updated:
NBC News - Authorities in Alpharetta, Georgia, have dropped a warrant against Bobbi Kristina Brown in light of the medical condition of the daughter of the late pop diva Whitney Houston.

A warrant was issued for Brown after she failed to appear in Alpharetta Municipal Court for driving with expired tags. The warrant and the citation in the Sept. 9 incident were dismissed. The warrant was signed Jan. 28.

"In light of the circumstances we felt it was appropriate to recall the warrant. We hope the family can find a measure of comfort during this difficult period," George Gordon, a spokesman for the Alpharetta Department of Public Safety, said in a statement.

Brown, 21, is in a medically induced coma at Emory University Hospital after she was found unresponsive in a bathtub at her suburban Atlanta home on Jan. 31. She is the only daughter of Houston and R&B Singer Bobby Brown. Houston, 48, died on Feb. 11, 2012, after also being found unresponsive in a bathtub. Her death was ruled an accidental drowning but heart disease and cocaine use were listed as contributing factors.

Police have said no drugs were found in Bobbi Kristina Brown's home.
