Mitchell, Bolden lead Georgia Tech to rare ACC win
ATLANTA (AP) - Charles Mitchell scored 15 points, Chris Bolden added 14 and Georgia Tech beat Wake Forest 73-59 for a rare ACC victory on Saturday.
Marcus Georges-Hunt finished with 13 points for the Yellow Jackets (11-12, 2-9 Atlantic Coast Conference).
Cornelius Hudson had 19 points reserve role and Dinos Mitoglou scored 15 as Wake Forest lost for the fifth time in seven games.
Georgia Tech was coming off a six-point loss at No. 4 Duke and had dropped seven of eight by seven points or less in conference play, but the Jackets began the afternoon with an 11-0 lead and never trailed.
Codi Miller-McIntyre had averaged a team-best 14.8 points but was scoreless until midway through the second half, finishing with seven points for the Demon Deacons (11-13, 3-8 ACC).
Devin Thomas, the only ACC player averaging a double-double in points and rebounds, finished with just six points and five rebounds.
