ROSWELL, GA (NBC News) - Family members of Bobbi Kristina Brown are by her bedside as she remains in a medically-induced coma at Emory University Hospital.
Thursday morning, People magazine posted an online story, saying the family was gathering to say goodbye to the 21-year-old daughter of singer Bobby Brown and the late Whitney Houston.
In response to the article, a family representative released a statement: "There is no 'family gathering' today that is any different from any other day since (Bobbi Kristina) has been in the hospital -- the family has been there since the weekend, so nothing any different today for them to be there than any other day. She is not brain dead, and the Houstons and the Browns are not fighting."
Bobby Brown requested privacy Sunday, a day after his daughter was found unresponsive in a bathtub in her Roswell home.
"Please allow for my family to deal with this matter and give my daughter the love and support she needs at this time," Bobby Brown said in a statement.
According to a Roswell Police Department report, authorities received a call about a drowning around 10:25 a.m. Saturday morning. Two other people are mentioned in the report --- Brown's boyfriend, Nick Gordon, and 24-year-old Maxwell Byron Lomas. The report says that Lomas works for a Norcross tree service.
A relative told 11Alive Saturday that Brown was in a medically-induced coma. Roswell Police Officer Lisa Holland told NBC News Saturday that detectives found no drugs in Brown's home, and the incident was being treated as a medical investigation.
The scare comes nearly three years exactly after Brown's mother, Houston, was found submerged in a bathtub in a Beverly Hills hotel on Feb. 11, 2012. Houston was later pronounced dead.
"It's a rough time of year," Jerod Brown, Bobbi Kristina's first cousin, told NBC News on Saturday. "It's been a hard time."
