Bradley County Sheriff deputies arrested two burglary suspects after they tried to evade police and avoid arrest Tuesday afternoon.
Dispatchers received a call at 1:30pm of burglaries at two homes and a barn on Rabbit Valley Road.
Deputies were told by a neighbor that two people were seen fleeing the area on foot.
After several hours of searching the area, deputies discovered evidence that led them to a home on Harris Creek Trail, where they arrested Thomas Edward Hughes, 51, and his daughter, Martessa LeDawn Hughes, age 31.
Both have been charged with aggravated burglary, theft over $1000, two counts of theft under $500, two counts of burglary, as well as being a felon in possession of a handgun.
Deputies recovered most of the stolen items, including the firearms taken in the burglaries.
Both individuals were booked into the Bradley County Jail.
