UPDATE: Police arrest woman who stole donation jar

ATHENS, TN (WRCB) -

The female suspect wanted for stealing a donation jar from the library in Athens is now in jail.

Nineteen-year-old Agia Underwood was taken into custody at her home by Athens Police and the McMinn County Sheriff's Department. 

The theft happened at E.G. Fisher Library in Athens shortly after noon Tuesday.

Underwood is a regular visitor of the library.

Employees at the library identified her stealing the jar in surveillance video.

Underwood and another woman were charged with burglary in a 2014 crime at an Athens hair salon.

Police say she was out on bond from those related burglary charges.

Underwood is facing an additional theft charge for Tuesday's incident.
