HAMILTON COUNTY, TN (WRCB) -

A duplex kitchen fire in Dallas Bay Tuesday morning left the building with $3,000 in damages.

Hamilton County Emergency Services said in a news release that firefighters from the Dallas Bay Volunteer Fire Department responded to the home on Leatherwood Trail.

Firefighters dragged the burning stove out of the residence and extinguished the fire in the yard.

Debris under the heating elements of the stove started the fire, according to fire officials.

No injuries were reported. The renter and her two children will be staying with family members.
