Subway employee’s wallet taken

DALTON, GA (WRCB) -

Dalton police are asking for the public's help identifying a woman who stole an employee's wallet from the Glenwood Avenue Subway restaurant.

The wallet measured less than a foot long, but contained the employee's cash, driver's license, and bank cards.

Police say the theft took place on January 16th shortly after 2:15 pm.

A white woman standing approximately 5'-3” tall and weighing approximately 120 pounds asked to use the store phone.

An employee let the suspect use the phone, and while talking the suspect leaned over the counter and took a wallet out of the employee's purse, according to police. The suspect then left the store.

The incident was recorded on the store's surveillance system and a picture of the suspect is included with this release.
