NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - State agriculture officials are warning residents about a paprika product that contains an undeclared peanut allergen.

Tennessee's Department of Agriculture said Tuesday it conducted a retail food product sampling in the Cleveland area.

Test results for 5 oz. containers of Pride of Szeged Hungarian Spice paprika showed the presence of a peanut allergen not disclosed on the product label.

The product, distributed by Spice Co. of Avenel, N.J., has a lot number of 091617PAHU05PS.

Officials are asking retailers to remove the product from shelves and contact the distributor.

Officials have reported the findings to the Federal Drug Administration and Spice Co.
