This amazing U.S. Coast Guard video shows the aircraft running out of fuel some 253 miles northeast of Maui, Hawaii, Sunday.

The pilot was able to deploy the plane's emergency parachute and glide down to safety.

Once out of the plane, the pilot was also lucky enough to be rescued by a nearby cruise liner that was alerted of the emergency situation by the uU.S. Coast Guard.

The pilot is said to be in good condition.
