Alabama authorities seize meth lab and make arrest

CHATTANOOGA, TN (WRCB) - Patrol deputies with the Jackson County Sheriff's Office went to a residence on McCord Road in Dutton, AL on Saturday in an attempt to serve an outstanding arrest warrant on 41-year-old Richard Lee Garner. 

Upon their arrival, deputies located Garner hiding in a shed/outbuilding in the rear of the residence.  

Garner was arrested on the outstanding arrest warrant for Failure to Appear (FTA) on a Bond Revocation. 

During a search of the building, deputies located a quantity of methamphetamine, marijuana, drug paraphernalia and a “one pot” methamphetamine laboratory.  

Garner was transported to the Jackson County Jail without incident and was charged with the outstanding arrest warrant for Failure to Appear on a Bong Revocation x 2, Unlawful Manufacture of Controlled Substances 1st Degree, Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substances (Methamphetamine), Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2nd degree), and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  

Bond has not yet been set on the Felony Cases.
