(WRCB) - Good Saturday. This afternoon, look for sunshine, a high of 47, and a bit of a breeze from the northwest. We will be clear tonight with the low dropping to 33 by Sunday morning.
Sunday afternoon we will be on the southern end of a "clipper" system that will bring heavy snow to the north. Our area will actually warm ahead of this system into the low to mid 50s, then we will see some rain showers as we move through the late afternoon and evening hours. A little of that moisture could linger into Monday morning as light mountain snow. Temps will be in the low 30s in the mountains then, so some light accumulation on grassy areas will be possible. In Chattanooga Monday morning the low will be 36 degrees.
Monday afternoon we will clear out, but stay cool with a high of only 43 behind the front. The rest of the week looks fairly cool and dry with highs dancing around 50, and lows in the 30s.
