CHATTANOOGA, TN (WRCB) -

UPDATE:  A popular north shore restaurant could be closed through parts of the weekend, after a fire, but another bar is offering some help.

A kitchen fire sent crews rushing to the Brewhaus on Frazier avenue Thursday morning.

Now, the bar, "The Bitter Alibi" has scheduled an event Saturday to help out some of the displaced bartenders.

"Root" kitchen and wine bar will also be offering some relief to Brewhaus.

Chattanooga firefighters were called out to the Brewhaus on Frazier Avenue Thursday morning for a fire that appears to have started in the kitchen.

According to the Chattanooga Fire Department's Bruce Garner, the fire was located near a deep-fat fryer in the kitchen.

When firefighters arrived about 10:00am, the flames had spread to the walls and were beginning to head towards to attic area of the building.

Dry-powder extinguishers were used to put out the grease fire in the kitchen, and water was used to put out the fire in the attic.

No injuries were reported from the fire. An estimate on the dollar loss was not available.

The cause of the fire has been ruled accidental.
