Leggings prompt plan to change school dress code

CUMBERLAND COUNTY, TN (WBIR) - Whether it's shorts that are too short, or sagging pants that can't stay up, ever-changing fashions lead to dress code confusion.

For the Cumberland County School System, leggings are the newest roadblock.

"You always have students that push the envelope," Cumberland County High School Principal Jon Hall said, "We feel that we are at a point that enough students are pushing the envelope that it's not appropriate for the school."

With 21 years education experience, Principal Jon Hall has seen everything. He wants students to have freedom, but a recently relaxed dress code is leading to problems.
