UPDATE: Suspect in Family Dollar stabbing sits in jail cell

CLEVELAND, TN (WRCB) -

UPDATE:  The man wanted in connection with a stabbing at the Cleveland Family Dollar is in jail.  Eric Mitchell Raygor was taken in to custody Wednesday afternoon.  He is being housed at the Bradley County Jail.  

Police received a tip that Raygor was at the Heritage Inn in Cleveland.  Officers went to the hotel and found Raygor hiding in the ice room.   He was taken into custody without incident.

UPDATE: Cleveland police have identified a suspect in the January 14 stabbing and attempted shoplifting at a Family Dollar Store on Keith Street.

A warrant has been issued for Eric Mitchell Raygor, 35, for aggravated assault.

Police say that Raygor stabbed a Family Dollar employee who confronted him about concealing merchandise to shoplift and fled afterwards.


PREVIOUS STORY: Cleveland Police are investigating a stabbing at a Family Dollar store Wednesday.

Officials say the victim is in stable condition. Police can not release any further information at this time.
