AP source: Bills interview Ryan 2nd time for coaching job

BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) - A person familiar with the Buffalo Bills' coaching search has confirmed to The Associated Press that former New York Jets coach Rex Ryan is being interviewed for a second time.

The meeting was taking place Saturday night, the person said, speaking on the condition of anonymity because the team has not revealed details of its search to replace Doug Marrone, who stepped down abruptly on Dec. 31.

ESPN.com first reported the development earlier in the evening.

Ryan was one of 12 candidates to interview for the Bills job over the past eight days.

Without revealing who or how many, the person says the Bills intend to have second interviews with other candidates.

Ryan had a 50-52 record, including 4-2 in the playoffs, in six seasons coaching Buffalo's AFC East rival.
