Traffic stop in AL leads to the arrest of 2 people

DEKALB COUNTY, AL (WRCB) -
A routine traffic stop lands two people behind bars in DeKalb County, AL.
Deputies were given permission to search the car and found methamphetamine.
The driver 37-year-old Steven Ray Mitchell of Rainsville was arrested for an outstanding warrant and was charged with Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of a Controlled Substance.
One of the passengers 23-year-old Shacota Hill, of Dutton was also arrested due to an outstanding warrant in Jackson County and is being held at the DeKalb County Detention Center.
Mitchell was taken to the DeKalb County Detention Center where he awaits bond.
