(WRCB) We have a number of advisories related to the wind and cold in effect this evening into Thursday morning. For details on your county, click on www.wrcbtv.com/weather.
Very cold air has arrived right on schedule. Lows tonight will be dropping to near 10 in the city and into the single digits elsewhere. The winds also have to be considered. Tonight the winds will be out of the north at 10 to 15 mph with stronger gusts. This will make the wind chills drop well below 0 degrees. If you are caught outside without proper clothing, frostbite could be a problem.
Highs on Thursday will only be in the 20's but the sun will be bright and the winds will not be as strong. Another cold night is expected near 20 in the city and teens elsewhere along with light winds. Friday will be partly cloudy and a bit warmer with highs in the mid to upper 30's.
The weekend will start off cold with lows in the teens again Saturday morning. The rest of Saturday will be mostly sunny with highs in the upper 30's. On Sunday the warm up will continue with highs near 50 and a few more clouds.
Next week will start off mild with highs in the low 50's and mostly cloudy skies. Tuesday will see a few scattered showers and warmer highs in the upper 50's. Next Wednesday will see showers and highs near 50.
