CHATTANOOGA, TN (WRCB) -

We will have temperatures staying fairly stable through early afternoon in the upper 20s and low 30s. Other than a flurry or two, I don't expect any additional precipitation. The cold and wind are the big deals today.
This afternoon, temperatures will drop rapidly. By 3pm, the temperature will be 30 degrees and winds will blow from the NW at 10-20 mph. By 6pm, the temperature will have dropped to 22 with a wind chill value between 10 and 15 degrees. By 9pm, we will already be at about 16 in Chattanooga with a wind chill between 0 and 5 degrees.
Overnight, the temperature will continue to drop. In Chattanooga the low will drop to about 11 Thursday morning. In the mountains, we will be in single digits. Winds will lighten up Thursday morning, but it will remain cold all day. The high Thursday will only reach about 28 degrees under mostly sunny skies.
Friday into the weekend will see a bit of a warming trend with highs climbing to 38 Friday afternoon. We will be in the low 40s Saturday, and the high gets to the upper 40s Sunday and Monday. Tuesday will be mild also with a chance for a few rain showers Tuesday.
