CLEVELAND, Miss. (AP) - Delta State University is naming its basketball court for longtime women's basketball coach Lloyd Clark.

The ceremony for Clark, who led the Lady Statesmen to three national championships, will be held between the women's and men's games Saturday. Delta State is hosting Lee University.

Clark took the reins of the Lady Statesmen program in 1983. The former coach at Warren Central High School in Vicksburg took a team that went 13-16 the year before to a 20-8 record in the 1983-84.

Over the next 19 seasons, his teams would compile a 494-98 record. Clark is the Lady Statesmen's all-time winningest coach.

His teams claimed Division II national titles in 1989, 1990, and 1992.

In 2006, Clark was inducted into the Mississippi Sports Hall of Fame.
