UPDATE: Woman killed by vehicle in Cleveland

CLEVELAND, TN (WRCB) -

UPDATE: Cleveland police have identified the pedestrian as Venisha Stanford, of Alabama.

She was airlifted to Erlanger where she later succumbed to her injuries.    

The driver identified as Carmen Garcia, of Cleveland,

At this time, no charges have been filed on Garcia.


UPDATE: The womans struck by a car Tuesday morning in Cleveland has been airlifted to Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga, according to Bradley County EMS spokesman Stan Clark.

The woman is said to be in critical condition after the accident, which took place near the intersection of 25th Street NW and Vista Street in Cleveland.


PREVIOUS STORY: Cleveland police responded to a call of a pedestrian struck on 25th Street early Tuesday morning.

Life Force has been called for a woman who was injured, but it's unclear if she has been transported, said Cleveland Police Public Information Officer Evie West.
