Life Force receives equipment to enhance patient care

Posted: Updated:

Life Force is upgrading it's equipment, helping flight crews provide critical care in the air.

This holiday season, Santa delivered three new pieces of equipment to Life Force that will enhance patient care, and provide in-flight capabilities during patient transport.

The equipment includes cardiac monitors, ultrasound equipment, and liquid plasma.

Officials say with this new technology, they'll be able to provide the best care for patient transport.

John Clark, Life Force paramedic, "Many of the patients we treat are time critical patients, and if we can get this life-saving equipment to their side quicker in a pre-hospital setting, they're going to have a better outcome."

Life Force has a fleet of four helicopter operating from bases in Georgia and Tennessee.

The ambulance service provides critical care in the air, and transports more than 14-hundred ill or injured patients each year.
