CHATTANOOGA, TN (WRCB) - UPDATE: More victims of a woman's violent shooting spree are talking to Channel 3 about that terrifying day after Christmas.

Julia Shields was supposed to be in court Monday morning facing three counts of attempted murder. Instead, she's undergoing a mental evaluation at Moccasin Bend.

Police said she was wearing body armor while pointing her gun and firing at multiple cars last month. Almost a dozen witnesses showed up to testify against her Monday, including Chris Snyder and his 8-year-old son Noah.

"When you're sitting there at your house and your kid and his friends come screaming, your first thoughts are what's happened to my kid or another kid?" Chris Snyder said.

Snyder relives the moment his young son and friends met Julia Shields in the middle of her alleged shooting spree. The three kids were riding their bikes in their Stuart Heights Neighborhood when they say Shields pulled up.

"She said 'have you seen a green car' and we say 'no ma'am', and she points her gun at us like this and she took off down the hill," Noah said.

Noah, 8, said he was in tears as he and his two friends, ages 10 and 11, rode their bikes back to his house.

"I told my dad and I told him not to go look for her because I was afraid he was going to get shot because he had a gun," he said.

The Snyder family wasn't the only victim. Almost ten other people showed up in court Monday ready to testify against Shields.

"Next thing I know, I just look in the rear-view and she has her gun already pointed and just fired her weapon," said Will Mahn. "The bullet exploded on my amp from my sub system and they say if the amp wasn't there, there's a possibility the bullet would have gone in my back so."

Will Mahn said the amplifier in his car saved his life.

Police arrested Shields after a chase and after they say she pointed her gun at an officer. They arrested her and found she was wearing camo and a buller-proof vest.

She is due back in court January 22.
