2 Police Officers Killed in Brooklyn Shooting

Two police officers died after a man opened fire on a patrol car in Brooklyn Saturday, officials said.

After firing on the officers, the man ran into a nearby subway station and apparently turned his weapon on himself, officials said. The suspect died, an NYPD spokesman said.

At least one of the officers was shot in the head, police said. Both were taken to Woodhull Medical Center. 

Both officers died, law enforcement officials said.

The shooting took place Saturday afternoon in the area near Myrtle Avenue and Tompkins Avenue in Bedford-Stuyvesant.
