Chattanooga staple closes its doors

Posted: Updated:
CHATTANOOGA, TN (WRCB) -  It was an emotional night for local performers as a Chattanooga staple closed its doors Thursday night.
After 36-years in operation right inside the Chattanooga Choo Choo, the Station House served and sang for their last customers. The local business has done well over the years, and continued to do so.  But the area is changing, and building up a night life, with the Comedy Catch scheduled to move in next year. Many are sad to see it go.

Johnny Brooks, 27-year performer at the Station House, "There's not a place like it that I know of, and it's an intimate romantic setting, and there's just a lot of interaction between the servers and the guests, and you kinda get attached to people, you know, I guess it's an experience you can't really get at a concert venue or anywhere else."

That performer we spoke with has been working at the station house for the last 27-years.
