A Hixson man is being held in the Dade County Detention Center facing several felony charges following a chase Wednesday night.

Dade County dispatch was notified around 11:00 p.m. of a chase involving Ft. Oglethorpe police and a stolen green GMC Sierra.   Dade County deputies become involved when the chase reached Interstate 24 westbound/Interstate 59 split.  When the chase reached Trenton City limits, Trenton Police officers put out spike strips and slowing down the vehicle.  As the vehicle slowed a female passenger jumped out.   The female passenger had called Dade County 911 previously telling them she'd been kidnapped.

The driver was identified as 29-year-old Justin Doyle Rogers of Hixson.  Rogers was taken into custody and the female taken to the hospital complaining of injuries.

The truck Rogers was driving had been reported stolen.  Deputies found several baggies of what is believed to be methamphetamines, hypodermic needles in a gold purse, a spoon with a white residue, also a .22 caliber rifle.

Rogers is awaiting a bond hearing.
