Good Thursday. The light wintry mix will fade away through the rest of the morning. This afternoon, we will have overcast skies and highs in the upper 40s. Tonight, skies clear a bit. It will be partly cloudy with a low of 32 in Chattanooga.
Friday will be cool and dry with a high of 49. Low pressure will move by to our south Saturday morning, and could bring a few showers to the area as we start the day. Temps will be in the low to mid 30s Saturday morning, so I expect most of the precipitation to fall as rain. I would not be surprised, however, if some of it fell as a light mix in the higher elevations. Saturday afternoon it will begin to clear out and the high will reach 51.
Sunday will be seasonably cool and dry with a low of 39 and a high of 51. Monday will be the same.
Tuesday, we will have a line of rain moving through late in the day after a high of 52. Wednesday will be a little cooler, and we may even see a flurry or two in the mountains. Wednesday afternoon will be windy as cool air moves in Christmas Day.
For Christmas, it looks like it will be sunny and chilly all day with lows in the low 30s and highs in the mid to upper 40s.
