Vic Grider to once again coach South Pittsburg

 SOUTH PITTSBURG, TN (WRCB) -- After two years off from coaching, Vic Grider will once again wear the headset that he previously wore for 16-years at South Pittsburg.

He stepped down as the Pirates Head Coach after the 2012 season. Ricky Ross, now at Marion Co. was supposed to replace Grider. Ross left immediately after verbally accepting because of contract details. Tim Moore was hired and spent two seasons at South Pittsburg before resigning after a 6-6 finish last year.

Grider officially accepted the job Tuesday morning. In his 16-years at South Pittsburg he went 162-43 with three Class 1A State Titles. He finished runner up twice and coached 46 All-State players.

Grider served as South Pittsburg's Athletic Director that past two years.
